ANDY RUSHBY

Andy has spent the past 25 years travelling independently and off-grid in remote locations either independently or with clients. But also with a Degree in Environmental Policy, being a teacher, Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society, Mountain Leader, Off-site safety manager and NEBOSH trained – his outlook on adventurous travel has changed over those years. NICK PLACE

Since 1997 Nick has been living in Barcelona. During most of this time, he has been running an events company specializing in teambuilding and outdoor experiences for corporate businesses.

With the Pyrenees just a stone’s throw away in one direction and the Delta del Ebre in the other, the opportunities to play are endless!

The great outdoors plays a big part in Nick’s life and he can normally be found leading groups in teambuilding activities be it in the mountains on nomadic journeys on the water in the form of regattas or in the city with gymkhanas.

With a varied background including work as a lifeguard, car mechanic and barman, he eventually studied a BA Hons in Countryside Planning with Environmental Policy including a 4-month stint working for the national Park Service in the USA.

Completely immersed in the Catalan culture, complete with a Catalan wife & daughter he can occasionally be found in an English bar for the Six Nations. Even though he hung up his boots some years ago, the passion for rugby still burns bright!
